Ye gods! It’s enough to have anyone running for cover, isn’t it!
But what if I told you it doesn’t have to be like this!
And I speak from experience……I’ve got things to do, places to be, people to see….. I don’t have time for all that menopause crap slowing me down. And nor do you!
But I will admit to some trepidation as the moment drew near……After all I remember my mum – irritable and tetchy, exhausted and so clearly not enjoying life. Yikes! Was this what I had ahead of me? A miserable tumble into the next stage of my life?
I was determined it wouldn’t be like this.

Remember puberty? All those mood swings, raging hormones, teenage angst and spots…..oh my! The spots!
Did it really have to be that much of a roller coaster? So difficult? (Actually I never thought it was difficult for me….it was everyone else being unreasonable and just not getting it! My parents don’t remember my teenage years with much fondness…..:-( ).
Well, everything I learnt led me to believe that the hormonal upheavals that bring us into adult life and the hormonal upheavals that lead every woman into her Wise Woman years really needn’t be that much of a nightmare. If you know what you’re doing it can all be managed and the worst effects mitigated.
I scarcely noticed the menopause
No sleep problems, no hot flushes, no mood swings
Instead I’m loving life, got bags of energy and new horizons to conquer. And…..it’s so great to be free of those pesky periods isn’t it!
